X-ACTO was suffering. Brand inconsistency and lack of support caused Elmer’s to consider selling or dropping this brand entirely. One last ditch effort to revive the brand resulted in this powerful new masterbrand. The bold X and metallic logo had great shelf impact and reinforced their “Precision Instruments” tagline. Sales results were so good, instead of

de-listing, Elmer’s added a number of SKU’s under the Xacto brand.
